Bransle de Champaigne is a 4-course (renaissance) guitar piece composed by the renaissance guitar and lute virtuoso Adrian Le Roy. This piece was published in 1552, in Le Roy's guitar book "Tiers Livre de Tabulature de Guiterre." The original was published in French Tablature. Le Roy composed for lute and guitar, and was also a music publisher (along with Robert Ballard) in Paris. Le Roy & Ballard publishing house was the Royal music printer for Kings Henri II, Charles IX, Henri III and Henri IV. Four of Le Roy's guitar books survive today.
